  2. Vocabulary • Root Word of the Day • eu– good, well, or advantageous • Word of the Day • euphemism – substitution of a “good” expression for an unpleasant one • Example – “sanitation worker” for garbage collector • How many euphemisms can your group come up with in 5 minutes?

The Year I Was Born Directions • List your birth year • List your interests • Brainstorm superlatives that relate to your interests • Use the internet to discover what were the superlatives in your hobbies the year that you were born • Capture images relating to these superlative individuals where possible • Take note of any interesting details

  4. Next: • Use prezi or animoto to create a presentation showcasing your findings • Limit your presentation to less than 2 minutes
