This study explores the evolution of production networks in the Asia-US region from 1985 to 2005, analyzing the length and strength of linkages, fragmentation levels of production processes, and the emergence of a "tri-polar trade" structure. It reveals a gradual shift of weight towards China and a high degree of fragmentation and sophistication in these networks.
