  1. “The Prayer Connection”

  2. 1- How many hours would we be willing to pray if we knew it would save a soul?

  3. 2 - If we’re going to make an impact on our communities we need to learn how to talk to God about people, before we talk to people about God.

  4. 3 - We pray for the lost because it’s biblical.

  5. 5- Would you be willing to give up your blessing for someone else?

  6. 6- According to God’s word, the lost are: a. Blind b. Bound c. Condemned d. Hell-bound e. Helpless f. Hopeless

  7. 7- We can prepare to pray for the lost with receptive hearts, spiritual eyes and ears opened to having God’s attitude toward sin, released to believe.

  8. 8- Four ways to pray to reach the lost: 1. List praying 2. Prayer walking 3. Prayer visitation 4. Prayer groups

  9. Scriptures

  10. Luke 15:4-6 4  “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’

  11. Luke 15:7 7  “I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance”

  12. Matthew 18:11 11  “For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost”

  13. Luke 14:23 23  “Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled”

  14. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth”

  15. Mark 16:15-20 15  “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 theywill take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Christ Ascends to God’s Right Hand 19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen”

  16. 2 Peter 3:9 9  “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance”

  17. Romans 9:1-3 “I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit, 2 that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. 3 For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymenaccording to the flesh”

  18. 2 Corinthians 4:3,4 3  “But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing”

  19. 2 Timothy 2:25,26 25  “in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will”

  20. Ephesians 2:2 2  “in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience”

  21. Ephesians 2:3 3  “among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others”

  22. John 3:18 18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God”

  26. John 6:44 44  “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day”

  27. Ephesians 2:1 “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins”

  28. Ephesians 2:12 12  “that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world”

  29. Luke 8:5,12 5 “A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it” 12 ”Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved”

  30. Matthew 13:15 “For the hearts of this people have grown dull.Their ears are hard of hearing,And their eyes they have closed,Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,So that I shouldheal them”

  31. Romans 10:9,10 9  “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”

  32. Romans 10:14 14  “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?”

  33. 2 Timothy 2:25,26 25  “in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, 26 and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will?”

  37. 1 Thessalonians 3:10,11 10  “night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face and perfect what is lacking in your faith? Prayer for the Church 11 Now may our God and Father Himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you”

  39. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth”

  40. James 5:13-18 13  “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Confess your trespasses[a] to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit”
