Economy Act of June 30, 1932 • Allows Federal agencies to cooperate with one another in: • Requisitioning Work • Services • Supplies • Materials or Equipment
Reciprocal Fire Protection Act of 1955 • Authorizes mutual aid • Must be within the vicinity of National Forest Lands • Agreement must include a waiver by each party of all claims • Provides for the reimbursement
Federal Authorities -Granger-Thye Act of April 24, 1950 • Authorizes FS to perform work on State county, municipal or private land within or near NF lands • Must be some public benefit. • Allows for pro rata sharing of fire protection costs covering non-Federal lands interspersed with Fed lands • No liability.
Cooperative Funds and Deposits Act of December 12, 1975 • Contains section on Forestry Protection which authorizes the FS to cooperate with other parties to accomplish forestry protection activities. • FS and cooperator must contribute resources to perform the work, share mutual interest and benefit in the same way.
Cooperative Funds Act of June 30, 1914 • Authorizes FS to accept money as contributions toward cooperative work in forest investigations or protection of NF system lands • FS can expend appropriations available for similar activities with subsequent reimbursement from the cooperator
