  1. NRCS Connecting with Connect How to use bookmarks in NRCS communities (8 slides) USDA is an equal opportunity provider and employer.

  2. How Bookmarks Work When you add a bookmark to a community, everyone in that community sees it. In the NRCS communities, that means all NRCS employees see it. We are asking employees not to add bookmarks to NRCS communities. But there is a way to add bookmarks all your own.

  3. Adding personal bookmarks To create a list of bookmarks that only you can see and edit, go to “Apps” and choose “Bookmarks”

  4. Adding personal bookmarks Once you are in “My Bookmarks,” you can click the “Add a Bookmark” button and add any link of your choice.

  5. Adding personal bookmarks In this example, we will add a link to Web TCAS. Simply add the title, URL, and any tags (keywords) and description you would like. You can also mark private (only you can see it) or public (other employees can see it).

  6. You’ve added your own bookmark You can see the new Web TCAS link, and also that 92 other people have added the same bookmark

  7. Bookmarks summary Our goal with bookmarks in communities is to have consistency, so that all employees see the same thing. We’ll provide structure by doing so. We’ll provide the same bookmarks from my.NRCS, and apply them in the same way. But Connect is an amazing tool, and employees can add content, provide input, and give their ideas in a way we haven’t been able to do before Any questions – click here to ask them in our new forum

  8. Equal Opportunity The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) prohibits discrimination in all its programs and activities on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, or marital or family status. (Not all prohibited bases apply to all programs.) Persons with disabilities who require alternative means for communication of program information (Braille, large print, audiotape, etc.) should contact USDA's TARGET Center at (202) 720-2600 (voice and TDD). To file a complaint of discrimination, write USDA, Director, Office of Civil Rights, Room 326-W, Whitten Building, 1400 Independence Ave. Avenue SW, Washington D.C. 20250-9410 or call (202) 720-5964 (voice and TDD). USDA is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
