  3. C2.2 Maximize Access • Target of having 50% of ILL (copies and originals) supplied by other VIVA members. • Met target in FY12: 52% of copies and 62% of originals were supplied by other VIVA members.

  4. P3 Ensure Efficient & Effective Operations • Target: turnaround time for ILL of 48 hours • Met target in FY12: Reviewed stats for 6 public doctorals for 3 busiest months (February – April 2012) • Average of 28.2 hours overall • 32 hours for articles • 24.5 hours for loans

What’s New with Collections? e-books! • Elsevier 2013 frontlist e-books • Springer 2013 frontlist e-books • 4 collections: • Behavioral Science (public & privates) • Biomedical Science (publics) • Computer Science (publics) • Earth and Environmental Science (publics) • e-ILL at the chapter level

  7. More e-books • Demand Driven Acquisitions (DDA) • All publics and 12 privates • Profile: recent STEM-H • The concept: ebook titles are added to catalogs. All participants can access these titles during the pilot. Enough use in 1 title will generate a purchase of that title – all participants will have perpetual access.

  8. ProQuest won MLA Contract • As of August 1, 2013 • All publics and privates (Pooled Funds) • MLA • AND • LION and LION Premium

  9. Coming soon….Discounts for JSTOR Archives • VIVA will handle licensing and invoicing • No central funds • 9% discounts for fy14 • Further discounts possible in future
