1. Make sure you have a writing utensil. Get a budgeting packet off the counter. Open the calculator on your computer. Wait patiently. Day #3- Budgeting- Vehicle, Fun Stuff

2. Budgeting • Essential Question: How do I develop a budget? • Objective: Students will choose a vehicle and figure the cost of fun stuff. (Packets completed) • Personal Financial Responsibility Standard: • PFR-3.1.1 Create a basic budget with categories for income, taxes, planned savings, and fixed and variable expenses. • PFR-3.1.2 Analyze and adjust budget categories to manage spending and achieve financial goals. • PFR-3.1.3 Develop a personal financial plan that shows allocation of income, spending, saving, investing and sharing/giving over a year-long time span. 3. STEP 6: Vehicle and Other Fun Stuff Today… you become a grown-up. Work through the 3 pages of Step #6 on your own. If you have overspent, you need to make changes throughout to have a balanced budget. Once you have a balanced budget, bring your packet up to the teacher.
