  2. JOB SECTORS There are lots of different types of jobs Lots of jobs are in the same types of work They are grouped together in “families” or “sectors” This makes it easier to see the range of jobs and careers available

  3. CHANGING WORLD OF WORK As the world changes, the types of jobs change too. Some jobs disappear Some jobs grow And new jobs are invented all the time Some of the jobs that you will do haven’t been invented yet!

  4. SUFFOLK GROWING JOB SECTORS In Suffolk, some job sectors have been predicted to grow in the future: Creative Industries – working in art, design, film, drama, music, games design and more! Energy Industry – working to create power – oil, gas, wind, waves, nuclear energy. Engineering and Manufacturing – making all sorts of products, roads, railways, airports, bridges. ICT – anything to do with computing, communications, TV, telephones and satellites. Food and Drink – growing and making delicious things to eat and drink

SUFFOLK GROWING JOB SECTORS Tourism – working to help people have holidays or travel at home and abroad Transport – sending goods, equipment and people all around the world and the country Retail – working to to supply and sell all sorts of goods - online and in real life Health & Social Care – helping people in hospital and at home Biotechology – using living things (organisms)? to make useful products for use in food, medicine or agriculuture
