HOOVER FOOTBALL’S2ndANNUAL COMMUNITY SERVICE DAY Saturday November 2nd from 8 AM – 1 PM Volunteers show up at 7:30 AM on West side of School on Highland Ave • Join Coach Ralph and the Hoover Football Team in helping our City Heights Neighborhood. We will be cleaning, painting, hauling, gardening etc. at Hoover and throughout the community. • Key Volunteer meeting Wed. October 30th at 6 PM at Hoover High School Gym.

Wrestling Season Begins November 16! • Come out and join the team. • We especially are looking for freshmen and sophomores. • We need to fill spots at some of the lower weight classes (under 145 lbs.) and upper weights  (over 180). • Our first competitions at Hoover are Wed. 12/4, Wed. 12/11 (small gym) and 12/19.

  20. OPEN Wrestling Room every Tuesday and Thursday. • We also have Strength Training in the weight room Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Everyone is welcome. • Meet right after school by the wrestling room (in back of the Big Gym under the upper bleachers). • Come work out and learn new moves and/or what the sport of wrestling is all about. We are looking for male and female wrestlers of all sizes. Come see if you have what it takes!     Coach Hoskisson

  23. 6-2 Go Cardinals! Hoover Football This Week Congratulations Varsity football team for their win on Friday against Patrick Henry by a score of 28-13.

  24. Congratulations to Hoover Varsity Football PLAYER OF GAME JAQUILLE “SHAQ” BRADFORD SHAQ set a amazing school record with 8 SACKS against Patrick Henry and 23 total tackles. He had a safety and a touchdown. He leads the county with 20 Sacks!

  31. Saturday School this Saturday November 2nd, 2013 8:00am-12:00pm. Come and clear your detentions and get off the LOP list. Students will meet no later than 8am in the front quad where they will be assigned a classroom for the four hours. Students must stay in Saturday School for the entire four hours to receive credit. All Saturday School dates will soon be up on the Hoover website calendar.

  32. Detention This Week • Detention will be held every day after school in Room 405/Computer Lab.  • Please tell students to enter through the outside door, not the Library.  • Detention starts at 2:30 and ends at 3:30.  • Students must be ON TIME to receive detention credit.
