  2. What do Accountants do? Accountants help their clients with their finanical records. They make sure the revenue is correct. They set up a business plan for big companies also they do people’s taxes. Sometimes you may even work with lawyers as professional witness for finanical records for their clients. Accountants have a range of things to do and clients can be companies, government, and individuals.
  3. What are the requirements to be an Accountant? The requirements to become an Accountant is have at least a Bachelors Degree, but if you have a Masters it would be even better. A master's degree is required for certain managerial positions as well as special certification in a related field. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a popular requirement for large organizations. The CPA exam is a four-part exam and almost all states require continuing education. Although basic skills are good to enter the accounting field, the more education you have the better your chances of moving your way up in an accounting career.
  4. Skills you would need to be helpful as an Accountant Excellent communication skills Ability to work with the public High standards of integrity Good computer skills First rate education An aptitude for math Strong analytical skills A detail-oriented personality and strong organizational skills
  5. How much do Accountants make? The latest 2012 research was accountants make about $68,690 a year at average. The more education and certificate you have the more you will make.
