  2. Carry On • Study the picture in Figure 1, “The Full Bucket.” • FIGURE 1: Adding water to a bucket can be used as an analogy for carrying capacity. For example, a one liter bucket can hold one liter of liquid. However, if more than one liter of liquid is added to the bucket, the liquid will overflow.
