Linear FluorescentTIM1 – Phase-out HalophsophorCircline & Minimum efficiencies • 1st stage starting April 13th 2010 • T5 and T9 Circline have to fullfill lm/W efficiency criterias • T5 and T9 Circline need to have an CRI index >80 • => Ban of Standard Halophosphor Fluorescent Lamp T9 Circline X T9 HALO-PHOSPHOR Ratedminimumefficacyvaluesfor T9 and T5 circularlamps

  5. What is exempt?

  6. Linear FluorescentTIM1 – Phase-out – Exempted Fluorescent Lamps • Double capped fluorescent lamps having: • a diameter of 7 mm (T2) and less, • a diameter of 16 mm (T5) and lamp power P ≤ 13W or P > 80W, • (Short T5 exempt) • a diameter of 38 mm (T12), lamp cap G-13 Medium BiPin base, +/-5m (+magenta, -green) color compensating filter value limit (cc). CIE coordinates x=0.330 y=0.335 and x=0.415 y=0.377, (T12 Halo = April 2012) • a diameter of 38 mm (T12) and equipped with an external ignition strip • Special application T8 Halophsophor (i.ePetcare, Gourmet, Coloured)

  13. The benefits of Triphosphor

  14. Linear FluorescentLuxline Plus - Range So much brighter offers a higher light output with low loss of lumen maintenance during its long life. Stellar performance offers increased luminaire efficiency (5 to 10%) over T8 Standard lamps. Improved CRI better Colour Rendering Index – in excess of Ra 80. particularly beneficial in areas where people work or stay for lengthy periods. Longer lasting up to 24,000 hours. twice as long as a T8 Standard lamp. This means reduced capital expenditure and less maintenance work and costs. Environmentally friendly Low mercury content, less energy usage, longer Backwards compatible - is fully compatible with all T8 Standard circuitry, ballasts and fixtures.

  15. Linear FluorescentLuxline Plus - Range • High light output • High lumen maintenance – 85% over life • High colour rendering – Ra85+ • Colour temperature 2700,3000, 3500, 4000 & 6000 K • T5 • Luxline Plus FHE G5 for Low Brightness louvre recessed and surface-mounted - 14, 21, 28 & 35 W • Luxline Plus FHO G5 for Indirect luminaires 24, 39, 49 & 54 W • Average rated life = 24000 hours • T8 • Average rated life 20 000 hrs

  20. Luxline ECO NEW

  21. Luxline Eco • What is Luxline ECO? • A high performance range of energy saving T8 fluorescent lamps (>10% energy saving) • 32W replaces 36W • 51W replaces 58W • Retrofit with existing T8 lamps • Operates on both HF* and EM control gear • Lifetime up to 15k hrs (standard halo = 14k. Tri = 20k) • Range covering key colours 830, 840 and 865 • Why are we introducing Luxline ECO? • Market potential – The energy reduction results in electricity cost reduction and improved environmental credentials – both major market drivers • Our Vision – Supports our vision of providing innovative, sustainable solutions • Applications • Replacement of T8 and T12 lamps, education buildings, shops, offices, public buildings, corridors, factories, warehouses

  22. Key Features and Benefits • Simple - Retrofit with existing T8 and T12 halo and triphosphor • Energy saving and similar light output to T8 and T12 halophosphor • Energy saving and small drop in light output compared with T8 and T12 triphosphor (approx 10%) • Saves money and the environment • Easy to switch, just change the lamps • Rapid payback • Energy savings allow investment to be recouped within 1 year • Long Life • 15,000 hours on EM gear c/w 14,000 hrs for halophosphate • Reduces maintenance costs and hassle compared with halophosphor lamps • Good Colour Quality • By using triphosphor technology, colour rendering is very good (CRI>80) • Makes the objects and the space look natural • Low mercury (3.3mg) • Reduced amount of this hazerdous material Please note these lamps are more suseptible to ambient temperature changes. Further technical information is being developed.

  23. Luxline Supercolour NEW

  24. Summary • What is Luxline Plus SuperColour? • A high performance range of very high colour rendering linear fluorescent lamps (CRI Group 1A)(CRI>90) • Colour 940 (4000K) in 18W, 36W and 58W • Retrofit with existing T8 lamps • Operates on both HF and EM control gear • Lifetime up to 20k hrs (standard halo = 14k) • Why are we introducing Luxline Plus SuperColour? • Market potential – There is an increasing drive towards high colour quality (natural) lighting for both standard as well as specialist applications • Range Completion – As the interest grows from standard applications, we need to have product available • Applications • Replacement of T8 and T12 lamps in education buildings, shops, offices, public buildings, factories, specialist applications, healthcare (diagnosis), printing, colour critical processes Available Now

  25. Key Features and Benefits • Excellent Colour Quality • CRI >90 C/W >80 for triphosphor and >60 for halo • Makes the ambience appear more natural and true. • Renders objects in the space more naturally • Merchandise in store looks more appealing • Simple - Retrofit with existing T8 and T12 halo and triphosphor • Easy to switch, just change the lamps • Long Life • 20,000 hours on EM gear (same as triphosphor) c/w 14,000 hrs for halophosphate • Reduces maintenance costs and hassle compared with halophosphor lamps • Low mercury (3.3mg c/w 6-8mg for halophosphate) • Reduced amount of this hazerdous material Please note – I am investigating the feasability of these lamps for use in Hospital Areas for the Diagnosis of Cyanosis. To be confirmed.
