  4. WHAT IS MRP? • A visual and mechanical evaluation of routine highway maintenance conditions. • It is a report card for maintenance

  5. Purpose of MRP • To provide information that should be used to schedule and prioritize routine maintenance activities. • To provide uniform maintenance conditions that meet established Departmental objectives.

  6. FACILITY CLASSIFICATIONS • Rural Limited Access • Rural Arterial • Urban Limited Access • Urban Arterial • 30 Points are surveyed for each Facility Type.

  23. As an inspector, your job is to make sure the contractor follows the plans and specifications.

  24. MRP criteria is based on the Roadway and Traffic Design Standards. As long as you are following these standards, we will pass MRP.

  25. Don’t get caught up in things you cannot control, such as plan design. We can get exceptions for these issues and not be scored on them. • Follow the Standards and Specifications.
