  4. Planning to Differentiate At what stage do we differentiate? When planning, we need to determine: • What is taught (Content) • How it is taught (Process) • How we assess what we taught (Product)

  5. Differentiating at all Stages • Content • Content is probably the most difficult stage to differentiate, since so many of us are responsible for a State Assessment. • There are many ways, however, to effectively differentiate at this stage.

  6. Differentiating Content • Determine the content which the students actually need. • We can do this by utilizing an online assessment tool.

  9. Using Assessment to Determine Content • By using the data from these sites, you can effectively determine what topics your students need, or want, instruction in. • Part of differentiation of content is to tailor lessons to students’ individual needs.
