  2. Plot David Rain is a student who goes to college , When he first moves in to Wayward Crescent with Elizabeth and her daughter, Lucy. The house is full of clay dragons, but Elizabeth makes them to sell. But at Lucy's persistence , David quickly finds himself involved in a quest to save the life of an injured squirrel. A quest that will help him discover things he never knew about himself, not to mention those ever present dragons.

  3. Info * The Fire Within is the first book of The Last Dragon Chronicles series. Genre of book: Fantasy Novel.  Pages: 304 Pages. First published in 2001, by the scholastic Press. Rating: I recently read the book The Fire Within. This was a very interesting and unique novel. I liked the fact that it wasn’t predictable I rate it 4.5/5 Recommendation: I would recommend this book to people who like fantasy. I wouldn’t recommend it to people who like very realistic books.

  4. Main Characters in the first Book Elizabeth Pennykettle (Liz) - The landlady and the maker of the mysterious clay dragons. Her dragon is Guinevere. Her daughter is Lucy. Lucy Pennykettle - Liz's daughter, and an 11 year-old girl that strongly believes in dragons like her mother, but can be very mischievous. She loves wild animals, especially squirrels. Her dragons are Gawain and Gwendolen. David Rain - A college student that has some thoughts of dragons and is somewhat emotional. He has a crush on Sophie. His dragon is Gadzooks.
