  1. PUNE Pune is a sprawling city in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. It was once the base of the Peshwas (prime ministers) of the Maratha Empire, which lasted from 1674 to 1818. It's known for the grand Aga Khan Palace, built in 1892 and now a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, whose ashes are preserved in the garden. The 8th-century Pataleshwar Cave Temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva.

  2. FAMOUS PLACE IN THANE Shaniwarwada is a historical fortification in the city of Pune in Maharashtra, India. Built in 1732, it was the seat of the Peshwas of the Maratha Empire until 1818, when the Peshwas lost control to the British East India Company after the Third Anglo-Maratha War.

  3. PUNE RAILWAY STATION Pune railway division is one of the five railway divisions of Central Railway (India) Zone of Indian Railways located at Pune of Maharashtra state in western India. The other railway divisions are Mumbai CSMT, Nagpur, Solapur and Bhusawal. There are 71 railway stations in Pune railway division.

  7. FAMOUS LAKES IN PUNE Pashan Lake is an artificial lake near the suburb of Pashan, about 12 km from the city center of Pune, India. The lake was built in the British era to accommodate the water requirement of the neighbourhood. The main inlet of the lake is a small river Ramnadi, which is even controlled by the barrage located to the north of the lake

Son of late congress leader Patangrao Kadam, Vishwajeet was born and brought up in Pune. He is currently an MLA from Palus-Kadegaon Vidhan Sabha constituency) Dr. Vishwajeet Kadam has a B.E, MBA, Phd in Management and has also completed Management and Leadership in Education from Harvard University.

FAMOUS CRIME IN PUNE The Joshi- Abhyankar serial murders were ten murders committed by Rajendra Jakkal, Dilip Sutar, Shantaram Kanhoji Jagtap and Munawar Harun Shah of Pune, India between January 1976 and March 1977. All the murderers were commercial art students at the Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Tilak Road, and were hanged for their crimes on 27 November 1983 The group had acquired a poor reputation on their college campus for robbery and drinking.
