  3. Sub-Millimeter Array (SMA) • 中文名稱：「次毫米波天線陣」 • 中研院與Harvard Smithsonian合作，在夏威夷 Mauna Kea 山頂興建 8 個 6 米天線進行130 – 950 GHz的觀測

  4. 目前已有 5個天線設置完成，正進行測試中。 • 主要研究恆星與行星形成。 (Star formation and planetary formation)

  5. 中央大學的觀測設施： • 鹿林前山天文台 • 過去十年經歷過三個階段： 1990, 1999, 2002 !

  6. 鹿林前山的三個階段 • 1990 台址探勘 （小鐵皮屋＋ C14望遠鏡） • 1999 SLT 落成(Super Light Telescope) （76公分口徑，自製鏡筒） • 2002 LOT + 控制中心 （Lu-Lin One-meter Telescope, 德製一米赤道儀）

  10. LuLin基地建設總投資(~2002) • 天文台+SLT: 1200萬 • 控制中心+LOT: 2800萬 • 台電電力管線: 5500萬 • 水電管線: 900萬 • 步道, 林道: 600萬 • 其他: > 1200萬 • 總計: （台幣） > 一億

  11. Lu-Lin 基礎建設已較為完善 • 食: 供餐點 / DIY • 住: 可容納 3組 4人團隊 • 行: *NCU-LuLin交通車 • 水電 • 網路(Internet), Wireless LAN, Web/FTP Server • 固定駐站人員 • 使用者付費制度 (NT$500/person/night)

  12. 現有觀測設施 • LOT 鹿林一米望遠鏡 (Lulin One-meter Telescope) • SLT 76公分超輕型望遠鏡 (Super Light Telescope) • TAOS 中美掩星巡天計劃 (Taiwan-America Occultation Survey) • LELIS 鹿林窄波段巡天觀測計劃 (Lulin Emission Line Imaging Survey)

  17. LOT • D=1,000mm f.l.~8,000mm • Tracking (no guiding)~180sec • Pointing~ 1’ RMS • Limit Mag. ~19 , merr=0.1 (R-band, exptime=60sec) • Instruments: AP-8 CCD+UBVRI/H-Alpha/OIII filters

  21. TAOS TAOS ＃B 所拍攝之 ZIPPER MODE影像 每一個張曝光0.2秒 每一次讀出2k*32 pixel 這是由許多張拼成的連續畫面。 我們以此來檢驗相片中的星點於極短時間的光度變化。
