  5. 2007 ASME Human Powered Vehicle Challenge Overview: • West Coast Challenge • NASA-AMES Research Center • Mountain View, CA • April 13-15 Competition: • Sprint Competition: flying start speed trial 400m approach, 100m time trial • Endurance Competition: 65 km, each rider at least 5km • Design Competition: design report, oral presentation (testing, analysis, safety, etc…)

  6. Mission Statement • Design and fabricate HPV which will be highly competitive in sprint, endurance • and design competitions at 2007 ASME HPV Challenge 2. Use 2006 PSU-HPV as benchmark to improve upon for 2007 competition • Create a solid baseline for future teams by involving non-capstone students and • documenting research and design work
