  2. Sturmgewehr44 a.k.a StG 44 • The StG 44 was an assault rifle used by Nazi soldiers. It was made to be handled easier than other larger guns. • The StG 44 increased the individual firepower of every soldier shooting a gun. It was used best at close quarters. • It was used to counter Soviet Troops. The StG 44 was also used in the Battle of The Bulge. • (First ever assault rifle)

  3. Petlyakov Pe-2 • The Petlyakov Pe-2 was used for dive bombing. Pilots would fly lower to the ground when they were going to drop a bomb.When they drop the bomb, they pull their plane back up. • It was the best Soviet ground air attack aircraft in World War II. They were fast so the German Luftwaffe had trouble catching and shooting them down. When Britain sent help to the Soviet Union, even those planes had to stay full throttle to keep up with the Petlyakov Pe-2’s. • The plane was used in the battle of Stalingrad and the offensive in Berlin. It was used in the Kursk counteroffensive and the Belorussian offensive.

  4. M4 Sherman • The tank was the primary battle tank of most of the allies. The U.S Army Ordnance designed the M4 Sherman as a replacement for the Medium Tank M3. • It was used by the U.S and other Western Allies and proved to be a reliable and highly mobile workhorse. The M4 Sherman was superior to the German tanks in North Africa. • The M4 Sherman was used in North Africa to battle the Nazi’s starting in 1942. It was employed throughout the whole Pacific theatre.
