  1. Rapid acquisition of the MN multicast subscription after handover<draft-contreras-multimob-rams-00> Luis M. Contreras, Carlos J. 2. Protocol extension to accelerate the MAG’s knowledge of the MN’s multicast subscription after HO • MAG entity in base solution relays on standard MLD procedures to get knowledge of MN multicast subscription after handover • Several delay sources contribute to increase the timing for multicast delivery at the new point of attachment • Delay due to the access to radio resources among competing MNs • Delay due to radio frame structure • Delay due to retransmissions caused by radio channel unreliability • Delay due to MLD message processing at MN • Solution proposal: to accelerate the MAG’s knowledge acquisition of the MN’s multicast subscription by means of new signaling messages internal to the network, decoupling subscription acquisition from • Underlaying radio technology • IGMP/MLD parametrisation tuning • PMIPv6 multicast architecture (current or evolved)
