  5. <MATERIALS AND METHODS> Chromosome preparation Human (Homo sapiens) Chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes) Pygmy chimpanzee or Bonobo (Pan paniscus) Western lowland gorilla (Gorilla gorilla gorilla) Eastern lowland gorilla (Gorilla gorilla graueri) Sumatran orngutan (Pongo pygmaeus abelii) Bornean orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus pygmaeus) White-handed gibbon (Hylobates lar) Pig-tailed macaque (Macaca nemestrina) Proboscis monkey (Nasalis larvatus) Fluorescence in-situ hybridization(FISH) Marker for the pseudoautosomal gene SHOX The PAC and BAC clones derived from the Y-chromosomal contig. Fluorescence microscopy and imaging Zeiss Axiophot epifluorescence microscope : red, green, blue

  7. <Conclusion> • Y chromosome위로 1번 chromosome의 약 100kb의 작은 DNA조각의 Transposition은 Human, chimpanzee, bonobo의 공동조상에서 일어났음이 틀림없다고 보여진다. • 그러므로, 이러한 transposition은 Homo-Pan clade의 명확하고 확실한 증거를 제시해준다. • 이러한 결과는 또한 인류의 진화적인 역사를 푸는데 Y chromosome 의 연구의 강력한 힘을 다시 한번 강조시켜 주었다.
