3. The Regional Committee of Lifelong Learning is an educational organization which provides education and vocational training to adults. It also provides supportive services for the promotion of unemployed people who receive vocational training. "ΚΕΚ PERIFERIAKIS ENOTITAS KAVALAS"

Apart from unemployed and self-employed people, people who belong to special social groups and are directly in danger of being excluded from the job market also participate in the programmes which are materialized. In particular, repatriated people, refugees, immigrants, gypsies and people with special needs take part in the programmes. "ΚΕΚ PERIFERIAKIS ENOTITAS ΚΑVΑLΑS"

5. "ΚΕΚ PERIFERIAKIS ENOTITAS KAVALAS" • It is estimated that approximately 12 programmes are materialized every year and on average 150 learners participate in them. • The programmes are funded either by the European Social Fund or by the National Resources of the Ministry of Education.

"ΚΕΚ PERIFERIAKIS ENOTITAS ΚΑVΑLΑS" • The fields of specialization and training involve: • «Learning the Greek language»(160-300 hours) • «Literacy» (160-300 hours) • «Theatre Education» (80 hours) • «Traditional dances» (80 hours) • «Music» (80-160 hours) • «Plastic arts»(70-160 hours) • «Information Technology» (100-400 hours) • «Agriculture» (400 hours) • «Economy- Administration» (150-300 hours) • «Pedagogy»(300 hours) • «Counseling for parents» (60 hours)

"ΚΕΚ PERIFERIAKIS ENOTITAS ΚΑVΑLΑS" • The new knowledge and skills which the learners acquire are directly certified by KEK PERIFERIAKIS ENOTITAS KAVALAS and in some specializations they are certified by registered organizations of accreditation such as: • CambridgeUniversity in the field of Information Technology • The Centre of Greek Language in the field of learning the greek language • The Office of Primary Education in Literacy e.t.c.
