  2. Scheveningen Scheveningen, The Hague is a modern seaside resort with a long sandy beach,an esplanade, a pier, and a lighthouse. The harbor is used both for fishing and tourism. The long sandy beach is also popular for watersports like windsurfing and kiteboarding.

  3. katwijk Katwijk aan zee is a is a small seaside on the north sea, 16km nrth of The Hague. In Roman times, Katwijk was a place of strategic importance. It was locates at the northern border of the Roman Empire, at the mouth of the Rhine river, which was then a much larger area before than today.

  4. Kijkduin This is a quiet and attractive beach in The Hague. The sand dunes offer wonderful for hiking, and the Kijkduin area is an ideal place for cycling and horseback riding, too. .
