  2. Saint Patrick • Saint Patrick is a traditional celebration. Saint Patrick was celebrated for the first time in Boston in Massachussetts, in 1737. It is celebrated on March 17th and it is linked to Christianity. The clover is the national emblem of Ireland. Green is the colour of the St-Patrick. There are many irish legends, for exemple that Saint-Patrick drove away the snakes from Ireland.

  4. Halloween : • Halloween is a festival celebrated in October on the eve of All Saints' Day. Children dress as ghosts or scary monsters,then they collect candies. The colors of the party are black which represents death and orange representing harvests.

  6. Thanksgiving : • Thanksgiving is a festivalcelebrated every last Thursday of November (in the USA). This festival thanks God for giving a good crop to settlers. Thanksgiving is as important as a national day. This festival is celebrated in families. They eat a stuffed turkey served with a cranberry sauce, mashed sweet potatoes and a pumkin pie.

  8. Christmas : • Christmas is celebrated on December 25th. In London, the carols are a very present tradition and the Christmas pudding: a dessert made from fruit and prepared in English families. The day after Christmas is reserved for cleaning and making boxes : it's Boxing Day !!
