Just the Facts… • Start Date August 2011 at Texas A&M University, College Station • 30 people with and without disabilities enrolled in program • 2 Semester Certificate Program • 1st Semester: Classroom: Core/Enriched • 2ndSemester: Onsite paid practicum • Program Evaluation • DARS funding for program development

  3. Agency Collaboration • The Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services • Funding for Program Development • Assignment of Internal Staff for Ongoing Support During Development Stage • Recruitment Assistance • Others

  4. Expected Outcomes 30 people certified to work as Direct Support Professionals in community settings: • HCS • CLASS • CBA • Home Health
