  2. About the AP Spanish Course: The College Board considers the course to be equivalent to a 5th or 6th semester university class. Only AP foreign language classes are ranked this high.

  3. What Can I Expect? (What’s in it for Me? Students usually receive more college credit for AP foreign language scores than for any other subject area.

  4. Also… You will be able to receive significant college credit by taking this course, even if you don't score high on the test.

  5. Some Important Things to Know: 1. I do not accept late work in an AP class.

  6. 2. This class is not study hall. I will throw away homework, books, magazines, etc. if I see them out during class.

  7. 3. You must speak to me in Spanish!

  8. 4. The class is conducted almost entirely in Spanish.

  9. About Your Teacher: B.A. in Spanish, The College of Wooster

  10. M.A. in Spanish Literature and Culture, The University of Akron M.A. in Education, The University of Akron

  11. I've taught at CHS for 16 years, and AP all 16!

  12. Before CHS, I was adjunct (fancy way of saying a part-time peon) at The College of Wooster and at the University of Akron.

  13. I am fair in my grading!

  14. I live in Wooster with my husband and dog, and I have one son and daughter-in-law who are both attorneys in Lexington, Kentucky

  15. I had polio when I was a little girl, and now I have to wear leg braces.

  16. I can't tolerate intolerance!

  17. You are going to work really hard this year. • You are going to learn A LOT this year. • We are going to have fun while you do so.
