Hispanic Television Viewing Trends: Cable Surges, English Broadcast Declines

Diversified viewing habits among Hispanic households have led to an increase in cable TV shares, with a noticeable shift away from traditional broadcast networks between November 2004 and 2006. Spanish-language broadcast shares are declining, while Spanish-language cable experiences triple-digit growth. English-language broadcast shares have decreased even more significantly, driving Hispanic growth towards cable viewing across all dayparts. The data reflects a surge in Spanish-language cable shares and a doubling of Hispanic household shares among M18-49 and W18-49 demographics over the period.
