6. Registration This year registration will be on-line

Teacher-coach will fill out all the information on-line and then click “Submit Entry Form”

8. Registration Continued… After it has been submitted you will be able to print individual copies of the entry form by clicking on each student’s name
Have printed copy signed by the student, parent, and teacher-coach
Multiple copies of the entry form are acceptable for group projects
9. IMPORTANT The payment (check only) and signed copy of entry form are due to FCOE by 4:30 on January 29, 2009

10. Historical Paper and Web Site Submission Historical paper and web site projects will be uploaded when you register on-line
Web sites need to have the links for annotated bibliography and process paper on them
* These projects are due at the time of online registration*
11. Rulebook Changes National Revisions

State Revisions – additions, changes, and clarifications
-General Category Rules
(Page 3) It is highly recommended that the topic chosen should be at least 25 years old.
(Page 5) Two 4th/5th and Junior Division entries per category and three Senior Division entries per category will go to the state competition.
(Page 6, HD-1) Your entry must be clearly related to the annual theme and explain your topic’s significance in history.
-Historical Paper Category
(Page 10, HP-3) Your Historical Paper must be typed with one inch margins on all sides.
(Page 10, HP-4) Your FINAL Historical Paper must be submitted via e-mail by the established contest deadline.
-Documentary Category
(Page 15, DO-7) You must provide your own equipment at each level of competition. You will be provided with a VCR/DVD player, a TV monitor, and a screen only for the Documentary Category. (Note: Projector is not provided)

(Page 16, WS-3) More than one multimedia clip may be used…
(Page 17, WS-7) The pages that comprise the site must be viewable on a standard browser like Microsoft Internet Explorer. It is highly recommended to test web site on different browsers.
(Page 17, WS-9) At the state level, students must upload their FINAL web site entry along with links to their process paper and annotated bibliography by the established contest deadline.
(Page 17 & 18, Note) At the national level, the web site category is a combined category, where the individual entries and group entries are judged together. To accommodate this at the state level, only the top individual entry and top group entry in each division will move on to the national level.
-Poster Category
(Page 19, PO-1) You may use different color paper photographs, written materials, labels, etc. as a background but you may not use items like mat board, Styrofoam, cardboard, etc.
