  6. Period of Candidature • Part Time Studies • Minimum 2 years (4 semesters) • Maximum 4 years (8 semesters) • Full Time Studies • Minimum 1 year (2 semesters) • Maximum 2 years (4 semesters) All inclusive of leave of absence, medical leave, etc.

Normal Study Work Load • Part Time Students • 2 modules per semester • Full Time Students • 4 modules per semester (With Project) • 5 modules per semester (Without Project) • Additional Module • Possible with good reason and high CAP • Subject to approval / vacancy • Application form on the web

Online-Registration of Modules • When? • 5 Aug 2013 (0900hrs) to25 Aug 2013 (2359 hrs) • Where? • http://www.gse.nus.edu.sg/online/ • Link available from: • http://www.ise.nus.edu.sg/scm_students/index.html • Cross Faculty/ Cross Department Modules • Not more than 2 elective (8 MCs) modules at 5000 level or above can be taken outside the list of approved MSc(SCM) modules • Approval needed from ISE and host department • Apply before 15 Aug 2013 (9:00 am)

Dropping a module • Before 26 Aug 2013: without penalty • 26 Aug – 29 Sep 2013 : W-grade • From 30 Sep 2013 : F-grade (Fail) Failure to register for any module during the module registration period will result in termination of candidature Absent from Examination • Deemed to have sat and failed unless with valid reasons

Leave of Absence (LOA) • Leave of Absence within Semester • Business trips, ICT, Medical, etc. • Max allowed: 3 weeks, 4 if include NS duties • Check with module professors on policy for missing mid-terms, assignments, etc. • Leave of Absence for Whole Semester • Up to 2 semesters of leave not counted towards the maximum candidature period

  11. CAP System for Continuation and Graduation • CAP (Cumulative Average Point) = Average grade point of all modules taken • Academic Warning: CAP < 3.0 • Termination of candidature if • CAP in 1st semester < 2.0 or • For 2 consecutive semesters, CAP < 3.0

  13. Graduation Requirements • Complete and pass total 40 MC with CAP ≥ 3.0: • All 5 core modules (20 MC) • Project LI 5001 (8 MC) • 3 Electives (12 MC) • Not more than 8 MC can be at level 4000. The rest must be at Level 5000. • Not more than 2 elective (8 MC) modules at 5000 level or above can be taken outside the list of approved MSc(SCM) modules • Cannot repeat a module which has passed for the purpose of improving the CAP. • If fail a core module or project: Repeat it • If fail an elective module: Repeat it or take another one

LI 5001 Research Project • 8 Modular Credits (MC) • Full-Time Students - Done over 1 semester • Part-Time Students - Self- generated project : Can be done in 1 or 2 semesters - TLI-AP sourced project : Must be done in 1 semester • Complete under supervision of a faculty member in area of Supply Chain Management • Scope and nature approved by supervisor and company
