Grace is greater then than GRACE IS GREATER STILL • Self love • Using God’s name in meaningless way? • Idolatry • Family dishonour • Murder/unjust anger? • Theft? • Deceit • Adultery • Covetousness? The condemnation God’s law pronounces
Grace is greater then than GRACE IS GREATER STILL • Broken relationship? • Secret sin? • An addiction? • A wasted life? • A broken promise? • An adulterous relationship? • Parental failure? • Dishonesty? Whatever weighs you down today?
So, what do you think? WithGod on our side like this, how can we lose?...... Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture Paul in Romans 8.31ff The Message
If we claim that we’re free of sin, we’re only fooling ourselves. A claim like that is errant nonsense. On the other hand, if we admit our sins—make a clean breast of them—he won’t let us down; he’ll be true to himself. He’ll forgive our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing. If we claim that we’ve never sinned, we out-and-out contradict God—make a liar out of him. A claim like that only shows off our ignorance of God. • John in 1 John 1.8ff • The Message
Here’s a word you can take to heart and depend on: Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. I’m proof—Public Sinner Number One—of someone who could never have made it apart from sheer mercy (or grace).
