Berate • (v) to speak angrily to someone because they have done something wrong • He was berated by his boss for losing the file. • Synonyms: criticize, scold, harangue • Antonym: praise • Also: berated, berating
Chaos • (n) a situation in which everything is happening in a confused way and nothing is organized or arranged in order • When the principal walked through the door she saw the class in complete chaos. • Synonyms: disorder, confusion, bedlam • Antonym: order • Also: chaotic
