LIGHT HOUSE BAG LUNCHES

Michelle Marshall, Light House Staff member, updated the Missions Committee at their meeting on June 2. She reminded us of the special need for bag lunches in the summer, when there are few organizations available to help, and children are not getting subsidized school lunches. We are restarting our efforts to help, and plan to provide 50 lunches on Sunday, July 6, for distribution the following Monday. Susan Sienkiewich and Ron Burdge will be coordinating the effort. The lunches will consist of a sandwich, raisins, bottled water and an apple. As in the past, we need the congregations help. There will be a sign-up sheet at coffee hour to supply the following:

Raisins – 1 oz individual packs

Bottled Water (medium size, 16.9 oz)

Apples

The items are to be brought in on Sunday, July 6. Also, we need funds for the sandwich materials. We ask that you put your donation in the white offering envelops and mark LH Lunch.

The congregation’s past strong support for this effort has been very much appreciated! Thank you!

New!!

“Day by Day” group with David and Paula

“Day by Day, day by day

O dear Lord, three things I pray:

To see thee more clearly

Love thee more dearly

Follow thee more nearly

Day by Day”

This ancient prayer describes the goal of a new group to be hosted the 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings of each month in Rev. and Mrs. Wentz’s home, the Trinity Parsonage. Following the leading of the Holy Spirit, we will help each other grow closer to God, closer to each other, and closer to our full potential in Christ. The first meeting will be on Sunday, June 22, at 6:30 pm. Please call 410-263-8043 for more information, or to indicate interest. We’ll see you there!

Did you know that we have a Stained Glass Class here at Trinity?

We have two wonderful teachers, Bill Busch and Barbara Zuccaro, and we would like to invite you to join our group. No experience necessary. We have all of the supplies needed, so there is no need to buy anything. We get together for fun and fellowship, PLUS we end up with wonderful stained glass projects that we can give as gifts or keep for ourselves. We are currently meeting on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month at 12:00 noon; however, we would like to accommodate everyone. So, if you are interested, please let us know what day, time of day (or evening) that would be good for you. We are flexible! Call Bill or Kathy if you are interested.

slide11
Would you like to learn how to knit and/or crochet (or both)! Crafts for Christ meets every other Wednesday of the month at 1:00 pm. We are mission oriented with the items that we make being sent to various non-profit organizations. Talk to Linda Beall, or Sheila Dunn if interested! Fun and Fellowship!

If you would be willing to babysit, as needed, or for more information, please contact Sylvia Spencer at 410 224-2654 or [email protected]  Your help would be very much appreciated.

We have new business cards to share with the community.

Pick up a few and give them to sales associates where you shop and servers where you dine out.

Give them to friends, neighbors, or people you meet on the street. Share the message of Jesus Christ with everyone!

Ask the ushers to give you several!
