  1. NIRISS CV2 Assessment/Resultsfor Proceed to Warmup Meeting Warmup/Optics 2014 Sep 19

  2. Assessment of data quality for SI-requested tests • Requested tests were part of the NIRISS Performance Verification (7.*) (JWST-STScI-003850: ghosts, scattered light, PSF core/wings, SOSS stability, NRM, etc…). All at best focus (consistent with CV1RR focus). All NIRISS modes verified and internal lamps. • Quicklook quality assessment of all the data – some repeats for low/high counts, saturation, etc…. • Issues: • PR 297/PFR 144: Glint seen on GR150R 0th-order - potential delamination. Solution: physical inspection for confirmation. No need for more data. • PR 335: small OSIM subpixel dithers not achieved (< 0.25 pix). • Solution: one axis has a larger dither, revised test with larger dithers • 3. Low flux in first TUNG4 exposure of a series (e.g. 18019): lamp warmup… • CONCLUSION: data quality is sufficient or “good enough” Warmup/Optics 2014 Sep 19

  3. 7.10.1 Ghosts (WFSS; GR150C/R) GR150R: bright source, glint on 0th order GR150C: bright source (no glint)

  4. Preliminary results for SI-requested tests, to best effort only (very brief) • In progress • Analysis of specific tests assigned to STScI and UdeM teams (also ComDev analysis and slide packages) • Upcoming technical reports in SOCCER and NGIN Warmup/Optics 2014 Sep 19

  5. Preliminary results or checks on the analysis of the ISIM-level tests, to best effort only (very brief) • Quicklook of OSS, CPT1, Initial Optical Baseline, OSIM+SI Checkout, • CPT2, etc… for NIRISS • Issues: • Scrambled integrations and header keywords (see misc PRs) • CPT1: many bad data, bad headers, missing frames, etc… • Unusual features when NIRISS in parallel: noise, high counts, and horizontal bands in darks and internal flats (e.g., 0.3.5.1.1a, 0.3.5.2.1a, 0.3.5.2.2, 0.3.8.9.2, …). Warmup/Optics 2014 Sep 19

  6. Dark Flat Warmup/Optics 2014 Sep 19

  7. Open PR summary - List of any additional tests or actions required before warm-up • Request further investigation of PR 273“NIRISS and Guider are showing abnormal • behaviourin OSIM+SI checkout test for Output 4. Hot pixels are showing a trail (approx. 10% • of flux) to the right in output 4.” • Success in reproducing the problem in OTP211NR273 (similar for G1 and • G2). • Request Rev A with variations to subarray size, NINTs, and location(and • temperature sensitivity). • OTPs written and in official timeline: Rev A (total of ~1.5 hours for NIS, G1, • and G2) • Note: just backgrounds – no OSIM sources and no mechanism • movements. Easy to schedule. Warmup/Optics 2014 Sep 19

  8. PR 273 Cutout of full-frame amp 4 region (NIRISS) Before subarray After subarray Warmup/Optics 2014 Sep 19
