  3. COST PLAN – VARIANCE SUMMARY

  4. Lien List • * Updated Lien list from the lien list provided by Jay Doubrava on 10/13/04

  5. Manpower Plan • The following table provides both the Contractor and Civil Servant manpower plan for FY05-FY07 • Assumptions: • ACD RFI and integration to the LAT date is 5/17/04. • ACD Support Team ramps down significantly after 5/17/04. • From July – September, 1.8 FTE’s are for Science Support and the remaining support is for Systems Engineering and Management.

  6. FY05 Cost/Manpower Overview by Task

  7. FY06 & 07 Cost/Manpower Overview by Task • Assumptions: • Civil Service personnel salaries are paid by Goddard, not the LAT. • Labor consists of science support only.

  9. BACKUP SLIDES

  10. ACD Critical Path - PMTs

  11. Descope Options • Perform environmental testing at the LAT Level. • The ACD Subsystem would not be fully qualified prior to integration to the LAT. This would transfer schedule and cost risk to LAT integration. • The following table provides the cost and schedule savings for eliminating testing at the ACD Subsystem level.

  12. COST PLAN – Assumptions and Risks • Assumptions • Success based plan. Rapid resolution of current technical issues (PMTs and EGSE) is required to stay on plan. • ACD RFI date is 5/17/04. • Minimal support (details provided on slides 3,4,6,&7) is provided following integration of the ACD to the LAT. • Risks • No contingency in ACD cost plan. • A later than 5/17/04 integration date to the LAT will not allow the full planned ramp down of ACD personnel.
