Project Odyssey aims to improve application server architecture by implementing several key changes. These adjustments eliminate the need for load balancing hardware for a single application server and enhance overall performance. Ongoing maintenance costs will decrease as support is provided on a per-partition basis. A dedicated environment for eAI testing will mirror the live setup, ensuring accuracy. Additionally, two application servers will merge into one partition, and backup software will relocate to optimize resource use, enhancing resilience through HACMP clustering.

Project Odyssey – Proposed Architecture Changes Key Benefits: Key Changes: (highlighted yellow) • No load balancing hardware required for single Application Server • Increased performance from single Application Server • Reduce ongoing maintenance costs - support is on a per-partition basis • Dedicated environment for eAI testing, using exact replica of live environment • Merge two Application Servers into one partition, combining resources • Create eAI Test Partition • Implement HACMP cluster to maintain Application Server resilience • Move backup software onto RMS TRN partition, combining resources, and destroy Backup partition
