  2. Scope • The Student Government Budget is funded by a portion of the Student Activity / Technology Fee. The amount of the fee allocated to Student Government is $250. • The Student Government Budget for 2012-2013 is $566,750 from 2,267 students.

  3. Allocations • The Standing Budget Committee accepts budget requests from all recognized clubs and organizations every Spring. The requests are reviewed and an amount for the following year (July 1 – June 30) is awarded. • For 2011-2012, $382,465 was awarded to 88 clubs and organizations. 28 did not request a budget.

  4. HistoricalPicture • While most blocks have remained fairly constant over the past five years, the cost of Club Sports has grown by nearly 50%. • The number and cost of major events has also grown.

  5. Major Events • Student Government funds a number of campus-wide major events each year. These have been growing in number and cost. • A priority has been placed on these campus-wide events by both the Administration, as indicated by the Campus Climate Study Recommendations, and by Student Government.

  6. Process • Attend one of the information sessions • Look over the important documents on the Laf Stu Gov website. • Fill out the budget request using adobe Acrobat X Pro. Email the request + all required documents to lafstugov@lafayette.edu • Sign up for a 15 minute time slot outside the Stu Gov Office. Meetings will start Monday, April 16th. • Wait…
