  2. Objectives • Read and understand a story in French • Be able to work out the order of words in a French sentence • Be able to speak French with excellent pronunciation

Key vocabulary! • Le petit cheval noir – the little black horse • Le petit lapin gris – the little grey rabbit • Le petit mouton blanc – the little white lamb • La petite souris marron – the little brown mouse • La belle pomme rouge – the beautiful red apple • Il essaie de prendre – he tries to take • Il fait beau – it is nice weather • Le soleil brille – the sun is shining • Quelle belle pomme rouge! –what a beautiful red apple! • Toc, toc, toc! – Knock, Knock, Knock ! • C’est qui ? – who is it ? • Vite, vite ! – Quick, quick ! • J’arrive tout de suite ! – I’m coming right away ! • Sautiller – to hop • Galoper – to gallop

Courir (le mouton court) – to run (the lamb runs) • Trottiner – to scurry • Je voudrais manger – I would like to eat • Je vais chercher – I will go look for • Une maison – a house • Viens m’aider – come help me • Mon nez – my nose • Mon dos – my back • Ma tête – my head • Youpi! – Hurray! • Miam! – Yum! • Croc, croc, croc – crunch, crunch, crunch
