Fire Fighters Visit

In January 2013, our class, guided by Miss Johnson, kicked off the term exploring the theme of "people who help us" with a special visit from local fire fighters. They showcased their important equipment, including huge water hoses, and allowed us to experience sitting in the high front seat of a fire engine, which was thrilling! Fire fighter Richard impressed us with his full uniform and oxygen tank, and many students eagerly tried on the helmet and breathing mask. Thank you to the fire fighters for making learning so engaging and fun!

  2. RECEPTION We started the beginning of this term learning about `people who help us’. Miss Johnson, kindle organised the Fire Fighters to come to school and talk about their jobin the community. First theyshowed us some of the special equipment they use. Including the large water hoses.

  3. Then we got the chance to sit in the front of the fire engine. It was really high up and very exciting!

  4. Then Richard came into class to show us his full fire fighting uniform and oxygen tank. Some of us even tried the helmet and breathing mask on, it was great fun. Thank you Fire Fighters for making our learning such great fun.
