The Illinois Apprenticeship Program is thriving with a significant increase in the number of registered apprentices and programs. Employers benefit from skilled workforce development, improved productivity, and diversity initiatives. The program has received a substantial grant from the US Department of Labor for expansion. A comprehensive five-year state apprenticeship plan is in place to further enhance the initiative, supported by a dedicated team facilitating outreach and coordination.
