English Food • The food and drinks depended on there status and wealth. • Meat was a sign of wealth. • They expanded food and dairy and started growing many different foods (fruit trees, honey, sugars. • They had some cooking methods like spit roasting, baking, boiling, smoking, salting, and frying. • The water during this time wasn’t very clean so the rich drank either wine or ale. The poor just drank ale.

  3. Fashion • Fashion during this time was a big thing for both rich and poor. • Many hair styles were made during this time. •   Elizabethan Women's Clothing - gowns, hats, corsets, underwear, collars, ruffs and shoes • Elizabethan Men's Clothing - doublets, breeches, underwear, collars, ruffs, hats and shoes.

  4. Social Life • Besides the great banquets of food and wine people in this era enjoyed many thing. • Like music, riding horses , and hunting. • There were many performed arts also.

  5. Economy and Geography • In this era the population was on the rise. By 1630s the population of England reached 5 million. • This put a huge thing on goods, which made prices to rise. • By the 1590 many people started dying from starvation.
