264-146 b.c.e. • They defeated the Carthaginians • They also gained lots of training routes • But many died in the struggle for victory
145 – 44 B.C.E • The republic collapsed • Then Julius Caesar was dictator • But some people didn’t like that Julius Caesar
44 B.C.E – 14 C.E Lots of civil wars about dictators Then Octavian was elected Everybody was happy and this started a new era of peace. Octavian
