  1. Non-Korean Interview Project

  2. What is the project? • 1) An opportunity to use English for cultural communication. • 2) A team project in which ALL members are expected to participate equally. • 3) An opportunity to interview and learn about 6-8 different people.

  3. What do you need to do TODAY? • Prepare your questions. • Questions should include 1) basic information (name, country, reason in Korea, etc.) 2) deeper cultural sharing • You will probably need 6 to 8 questions (make one or two extra, because one might not work)

  4. What do you need to do FRIDAY? • Come to class so you are present on the attendance. • If you are going to be late, you must message me. • You will be ABSENT if you do not find me. • Bring your questions, a camera, and recording device.

  5. FRIDAY… • After I complete the attendance, you and your team should find some non-Koreans and talk to them. • 6-8 (two per team member) • Politely ask if they have a few moments. • Ask your questions, (RECORD the answers!!) • Take a picture with the non-korean (politely ask)

  6. Additional Guidelines… • You may use only 2 native English speakers per team. • Please avoid approaching KHU professors (some of them are jerks.)

  7. FAQ • What if we can’t find non-Koreans? • Answer: There are 2,500 non-Koreans on this campus, 2,000 on the HUFS campus, and around 500,000 in Korea. You can find them.
