What is the US CMS NSF CA? • This mechanism through which the NSF provides its support to the US CMS Operations Program (M&O, S&C, Common Fund) • Five-year award • FY07-FY11 • Hosted by UCLA • $9M per year • FY12-FY16 (proposed) • Hosted by Princeton • Requesting ~$10M per year (precise amount TBD) NSF Cooperative Agreement Renewal

  3. What’s New This Time? • Focus on installation/commissioning is now replaced by operation/upgrade • Closer alignment between NSF goals and supported institutions • Schools will be switched from DOE Ops funding to NSF Ops funding and vice versa • New grant will include • All institutions that receive NSF base support • All Tier-2 Institutions • Princeton as host institution NSF Cooperative Agreement Renewal
