MINI SING!. Getting to Know You. It’s a very ancient saying, But a true and honest thought, That if you become a teacher, By your pupils you’ll be taught. As a teacher I’ve been learning, You’ll forgive me if I boast, And I’ve now become an expert, On the subject I like most.

Getting to Know You

It’s a very ancient saying,

But a true and honest thought,

That if you become a teacher,

By your pupils you’ll be taught.

As a teacher I’ve been learning,

You’ll forgive me if I boast,

And I’ve now become an expert,

On the subject I like most

slide3

(spoken) Getting to know you

Getting to know you,

Getting to know all about you.

Getting to like you,

Getting to hope you like me.

Getting to know you,

Putting it my way but nicely,

You are precisely,

My cup of tea.

slide4

Getting to know you,

Getting to feel free and easy,

When I am with you,

Getting to know what to say.

Haven’t you noticed,

Suddenly I’m bright and breezy?

Because of all the beautiful and new

Things I’m learning about you

Day by day

do re mi
Do Re Mi

Let’s start at the very beginning

A very good place to start

When you read you begin with A-B-C

When you sing you begin with Do-Re-Mi

Do-Re-Mi, do-re-mi

The first three notes just happen to be

Do-re-mi, do-re-mi

Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti

slide6

Doe a deer, a female deer, Ray a drop of golden sun

Me, a name I call myself,

Far a long, long way to run

Sew, a needle pulling thread,

La, a note to follow Sew

Tea, a drink with jam and bread

That will bring us back to Do oh ohoh.

So-do!

the ugly duckling
The Ugly Duckling

There once was an ugly duckling

With feathers all stubby and brown

And the other birds in so many words said

Quack get out of town

Quack quack get out

Quack quack get out

Quack quack get out of town

slide9

And he went with a quack

And a waddle and a quack

In a flurry of eiderdown

That poor little ugly duckling

Went wandering far and near

But at every place they said to his face now

QUACK get out of here

QUACK QUACK get out

QUACK QUACK get out

QUACK QUACK GET OUT OF HERE

And he went with a quack and a waddle and a quack

And a very unhappy tear

slide10

`All through the winter time

He hid himself away

Ashamed to show his face

Afraid of what others might say

All through the winter

In his lonely dump of weed.

Till a flock of swans spied him there

And very soon agreed

You’re a very fine swan indeed

I’m not such an ugly duckling

No feathers all stubby and brown

For in fact these birds in so many words said

Say (wink) the best in town

slide11

Wink wink the best

Wink wink the best

Wink Wink the best in town

Not a quack, not a quack, not a waddle or a quack

But a glide and a whistle and a snowy white back

And a head so noble and high

Say who’s an ugly ducking?

Not I!

consider yourself
Consider Yourself

Consider yourself at home

Consider yourself one of the family

We’ve taken to you so strong

It’s clear we’re going to get along

Consider yourself well in

Consider yourself part of the furniture

There isn’t a lot to spare

Who cares what ever we’ve got we share

slide13

If it should chance to be

We should see some harder days

Empty larder days why grouse

Always a chance we’ll meet somebody

To foot the bill

Then the drinks are on the house

Consider yourself our mateWe don't want to have no fuss,For after some consideration, we can stateConsider yourselfOne of us!

Nobody tries to be lah-di-dah or uppity--There a cup-o'-tea for allOnly it's wise to be handy with a rolling pinWhen the landlord comes to call!
