  3. Types • Unsaturated (good fat) • Plant foods and fish • Saturated (bad fat) • dairy and meats • Trans (awful fat) • processed and fast foods • Fuel body • Keep skin healthy • fat intake should be 25% Fats

  4. Types • Complete (nine essential amino acids) • From animal sources • Incomplete (not all essential amino acids) • From vegetables • Used to build cardiac muscles (heart) • protects body tissues • Makes specialized molecules that have specific jobs Protein

  5. Types • Fat soluble (body holds them in fat till needed) • Vitamins A, D, E, and K • Water soluble (travel through bloodstream) • Vitamins B and C • Each vitamin has special function • Eat variety of foods to get all vitamins Vitamins
