  4. Chapter 1: Why You Should Play Hockey Hockey Is fun. You get lots of exercises. It is a team game. If you are on a team you make lots of friends. It is fun because you pass a shot. Hockey is for all ages.

  5. Chapter 2: equipment You need shin pads, Elbow pads, chest protector, pants, helmet, gloves, skates, neck guard and a stick

  6. Chapter 3:The Basics Of Hockey Hockey is a sport. You don’t have to be a pro to play hockey. It is tons of fun. You can play on a Team or you could do a learn to play hockey program. You play on ice you play with a puck. You need all the Equipment in the last chapter.

  7. Chapter 4: Positions The positions in hockey are Center, L wing, R wing, L D, R D and the most important positions is goalie. When you are D you keep the puck away from your goalie. Wing and center shot the puck at the other goal.

  8. Chapter 5: Hockey then and Now Hockey back then no helmets square puck tennis ball triangle puck and less pads. Now in hockey Cylinder pucks and more pads.

  9. Chapter 6: Penalties The penalties in hockey are tripping, checking, cross checking and if you get in fights then you have to set down fore a few minutes.

Glossary • Skates – use them to get around the ice arena • puck – shot the puck at the other net • Goal – when you get a point by shooting the puck in the other net • Face off – when you drop the puck to start the game • FIFTH WORD HERE – Write the definition of the word here. ~~Please feel free to include more words in the glossary if you’d like!
