  1. My Trip to Egypt By Riley

  2. Day 1 I woke up not knowing where I was or what I was doing. I only knew I was in a plane. I got up and looked out the tiny window in the back and immediately I knew where I was, Egypt. I could see the Nile river stretch across the dessert. We weren’t that high. I knew I had to get of the plane because I knew I was kidnapped.. so I had to jump. I noticed something in the distance, there were two huge statues. I waited till we flew over the statue I smashed my way through the cockpit and I hopped out of the plane and prepared myself for the worst. Bam pain zapped through my body as I hit the statue. Then blacked out……………………………………………………………………

  3. Colossi of Memnon

  4. Day 2 I opened my eyes and saw a huge statue right in front of me. A guy helped me up and I asked him what these statues were and he told me all about them. They represent a pharaoh name Amenhotep III and they have been there since 1350 BC. The statues are called the Colossi of Memnon. Memnon means “Ruler of Dawn”. I was amazed at the size of these two statues and how they have been standing for so long. I think I could’ve stood there staring at the statue all daylong. But I had to get back to where I came from. Well wherever that is.
