  3. Valentine's legend Once lived a man. His name was Valentine. He was a good doctor. Many people loved him. He was clever and kind. Valentine was put in prison and was sentenced to death. At that time people celebrated New Year in the middle of February. Children and adults came to congratulate and thank Valentine for help. The jailer ( тюремныйнадзиратель) had a blind daughter. And he decided to show it to Valentine. It turned out that he helped her. But she fell in love with him. So, soon Valentine was executed. The only thing he left was a love letter to his sweetheart.

  5. Cupid -The Roman god of love is depicted as a charming boy with a bow and arrows. He shoots his arrows into the human hearts. The wounded person immediately falls in love. The Endless-love Knot– It is an intricate pattern of interlocking hearts. Ribbon - It means that the person is tied up. Lace -It symbolizes a net for catching one’s heart. Hearts and red roses - It is the emblem of eternal love. Rings-men and women exchange it when they become engaged or married
