Description of Project • The Haivan pass section of the National Highway No. 1 Begins at Km. 894+000 near Lang Co Town (Thua Thien–Hue Province) Runs across the Haivan Pass peak at with an elevation of 475m, with a distance of 20.45 km Ends at Km. 914+450 just north of Danang City Haivan Pass section is a very low standard highway. In spite of many efforts of Vietnamese government on upgrading this section, it is still a dangerous highway to drive and many lives lost each year in accidents on this section
