  2. GISFI#7: Security & Privacy Report • Security & Privacy working group approved • Chair: Anand R. Prasad, NEC and • Vice-Chair: Debabrata Nayak, Huawei • First small step: GISFI can play a role regarding security guidelines from Indian government. Actions: • Government guidelines to be distributed by Debabrata Nayak, Vice-chair • Do the following based on guidelines: • GISFI interpretation of the guidelines • Identify items where further details are needed • Prepare input for the items where details are needed • Prepare 2 pager based on GISFI input • If needed meet Security DDG and Indian operators to provide GISFI input • Security QoS (SQoS), Huawei • Huawei plans to bring a work item on SQoS in GISFI#8 GISIF#8, 26 - 28, March 2011

Activities to-date • Developed initial thoughts on understanding on Indian national security requirements – to be discussed in this meting • Participated as guest during CJK-11 • Security working group was kicked-off during CJK-11 • Proposed (and was agreed by CJK) to start communication with GISFI with the goal to start collaboration GISIF#8, 26 - 28, March 2011

  4. Activities to-date • Met TEC to discuss status of Indian national security requirements activity • Communication channel set with TEC • Activity information will be shared with TEC • TEC and GISFI will participate in each others meetings • GISFI members will provide technical support to TEC • Workshop with TEC will be organized close to GISFI#9, 18-20 June, 2012, Mumbai GISIF#8, 26 - 28, March 2011

  5. Proposals • Participate in TEC national working group on SG-17 • Send liaison to following groups: • TEC: share information regarding status of GISFI activity • 3GPP: inform about current activity and offer collaboration regarding Indian national security requirements • CJK: inform about current activity of security and privacy working group GISIF#8, 26 - 28, March 2011
